vga options in kernel parameter, for Linux change its console screen resolution

just add one of this options to make our linux screen console to have bigger than old time standard 80x25 mode.

ie : kernel  /vmlinuz-xxxx ro root=/dev/xxx rhgb quiet vga=VVV

where VVV is one of this number 791 is sufficient enough for me.
791 - 1024x768, 16 bit
792 - 1024x768, 24 bit
794 - 1280x1024, 16 bit
795 - 1280x1024, 24 bit

reboot the machine for setting to be applied.

Linksys SPA400 Default IP address

my SPA400 has default IP address : 192.168.1.151 with default gateway 192.168.1.1, try this ip in yours, default username is : Admin with no password ( blank password ).

I wrote this because somehow, cisco website, intentionally trying to confuse people by saying, no default ip address, and give this clue on its ip address :

There are only two ways to determine the SPA400 IP address:

• Using the SPA9000 Setup Wizard (so people will buy cisco SPA9000 ??? :-) )

• By generating the DHCP client's table of the main router

Joomla: 500 - An error has occurred

Ever reach a strange error like this ? when tried to login to the Administration section of my Joomla(1.7) with wrong username or password ?. 


"500 - An error has occurred - Return to Control Panel"


dont panic, just look into your configuration.php files, see what is under variable $log_path, and $tmp_path, and work by make sure the directory is writable by your webserver account ( ie apache user) or change it to different address that the server has with write permission. 


this problem occurred when we copy joomla installation to new server or for some reason, permission change.

ltdl libtool-ltdl-devel missing

just to remind me, if -ltdl error is appear when trying to build something under linux, check if libtool-ltdl-devel is there,

and another reason I put this on the page seems that internet has less information regarding ltdl library, and I just want to populate internet with this information :-)

AMD E-350 vs AMD E2-1800 on windows experience index number

anyone want to see how this almost identical processor will look compared each other ? just for the information, the only difference for this two processor other than the production year (more than 1 year apart), is the CPU clock speed and of course, the clock speed of its GPU, pretty sad for such "good" processor only got this improvement after 1 year, AMD should name this E2-1800 with E-550 for this small improvement right ?

These windows experience index result below are coming from E350 foxconn NTA350 nettop and E2-1800 Sony Vaio SVE11113FXW netbook.

 this is E-350, with processor score 3.8



 and this is E2-1800, with processor score 3.9
 



 I wish that at least AMD pump more juice on this already good processor, like more Mhz, or decreased the lithography to 32nm maybe, with only 0.1 processor score differences, well, that we got it already with E-450.
